Product Description The 2007 College Football season was full of twists, turns, drama and upsets. It was only fitting that the National Champion finished the season with twolosses. Playing in their home-away-from-home, the Louisiana Superdome inNew Orleans, the BCS second ranked LSU Tigers captured the 2008 AllstateBCS National Championship by rolling over the top ranked Ohio StateBuckeyes 38-24. With the victory, the Tigers became the first two-timeNational Champion in the 10 year history of the BCS, adding onto their2003 title.Like they had so many times during the season, the Tigers were forced tocome from behind in the biggest game of the year, trailing 10-0 early on.Led by fifth-year senior quarterback Matt Flynn and two key special teamplays, the Tigers stormed back to score 31 unanswered points and neverlooked back. Flynn torched college football?s best defense for fourtouchdown passes, earning him the game?s Outstanding Offensive Playeraward. After watching LSU tie the game at 10-10, the Buckeyes seemed poised toretake the lead. However, following a dropped pass in the end zone, the OhioState drive had to settle for a field goal attempt. It was then the game?sOutstanding Defensive Player, LSU defensive lineman Ricky Jean-Francois,stormed up the middle and blocked the Ohio State kick. Moments later, theTigers took the lead for good, claiming their second National Championshipin five years, and third in school history. For Ohio State, the game markedtheir consecutive trip to the National Championship Game, again falling to anSEC school. In 2007, the Buckeyes fell to the Florida Gators 41-14.

Not in widescreen? January 23, 2008 2 out of 9 found this review helpful
It seems this DVD not in widescreen? Come on Fox, get with the times. A lot of us now have widescreen TV's and hate to watch the game in a box. You would think since Fox broadcasted this game in HD widescreen, they could produce a DVD in widescreen. I will not be buying this unless they change the format.
